Wings of Mercy accepts patients with finances that make it impossible or extremely difficult to pay for transportation on commercial airlines. Patients needing air transportation to a medical facility must meet certain criteria to be eligible for Wings of Mercy services. These include medical need, physical condition, and financial ability. Patients are screened by our Screening Coordinator, who can be reached by telephone at:

2) Other patient requirements include:

~Receive treatment at a recognized medical Center within 600 miles
of eastern Michigan.
~Provide ample notice of travel dates .
~No smoking while in flight.
~Observe fluid restriction prior to flight.

~Arrange for own ground transport at destination.
~Family flies space available.
